when your on the al bhed ship, i heard you can use phoenix downs on the flying boss evrae to kill him instantly? if true, when do i use them on him?

ever since final fantasy VIII (and tactics), any UNDEAD will be instantly killed or massively hurt when a phoenix down is used on them. as well, life magic does damage, cure magic does damage, the items "potion" do damage
they can do damage whenever you use them. when do you use them? whenever you want.
i don't remember that particular fight, but i dunno if evrae is undead. if not, try to cast zombie magic on him to turn him undead, and then use a phoenix down. if he's already undead, you can do the phoenix down whenever you want

You fight evrae twice. On the airship, and in the Via Infinito. You cant kill him with phooenix downs on the airship, because he is alive. You have to beat him the old fashion way the first time.

no, you can only kill evrae altana with potions, who you will fight later on in the game:)
