In some situations the answer would be yes, however in the business, political, home and in terms of power the answer would have to be no. Even after 36 years of the equal pay act coming in and sex discrimination laws be imposed. Sad as this is for me to say women will never be equal to men because most men feel threatened in the presence of a strong and intelligent woman.

Ha, ha......Men ruling? Since when?
The question is, are men equal to women? No, really, personally, I never assume any man or woman for that matter is above me. They must earn the respect of ME by behaving with a modicum of dignity and using the brain that sits in their skull.
No one is above you unless you believe they are!
As soon, as you start wondering if you are "equal" is the moment you start feeling inadequate in EVERYTHING in life.
Don't create problems for yourself. Know yourself. Respect yourself and others and life will support you.
Be strong and love!
To the fella who wrote "weak and useless": What books are you reading?! Feminism doesn't teach that to be a woman means to be "weak and useless"...Ha, ha, ha......Get your money back from the college!

Women have alot more equality than what they used to, but as much as I hate to say it, men still appear to have more power. If you think about it, even in female dominated fields, such as Social Work, nursing and teaching, more often than not, it is a male who is the manager or at the top.

Some men are...others are, ahem...not so much. This is not, has never been and will never be a matriarchal civilisation. And as for equality - impossible. Humans don't do equality. They do do brittle compromise punctuated by ferocious battles.

Women are not equally valued. Should they be? Yes. Why does a woman have to have brass balls and a butch hair cut to be valued? Can't she be a lipstick & Parada ball buster? Thats my question.

It is hard to measure. I would say that men are in charge of things that are easier to measure, like politics and in the workplace. But, women are much more likely today to be the bosses of the home and what their man does with his time.

Women are ruling by proxy, as they have been for thousands of years. After all, is it the king who fights the wars, makes all the decisions, and does all the work of ruling, or the queen who gets all the benefits while doing nothing she doesn't want to do, the one being ruled?

I think the real question is how folks value themselves. Women obviously value themselves less (as feminism has taught them to). This is why we get so many women trying to cop masculine characteristics and, more or less, be men.

Ladies, you are just as valuable as men...just in a different way. Through men and women partnering together, bringing each of their unique strengths to the table, we will all live in a better world. Continue to believe as the feminists will have you believe, that to be a feminine woman is weak and useless, and you will continue to bring our society down in numerable ways.
