no one is opposed to non-embrionic stem cell research and many argue to think more mature stem cells are less likley to morph into cancer cells than embryonic stem cells. But it seems in the media when the mean embryonic stem cel research why is it they just say "stem cell" research and harly report non embryonic stem cell research

I suspect that the abortion lobby wants to use this issue to cement the idea of the embryo as a non-person. Embryonic stem cell research is not really necessary even for the purposes they say it is. Methods are already being developed to produce similar cells without the use of embryos. Once this happens, they can develop techniques to make these stem cells using the patient's own DNA. Then they will have to come up with some other excuse for destroying embryos.

News is a business, embryonic research creates a fire storm in the media, firestorms sell commercial air time this makes revenue. The news does not give us information to keep us informed they give us information that is passionate to sell air time to advertisers. It is a money business not an information business.

They're selling snake oil --- it's the usual case of a group of people using junk science and hysteria in a blatant ploy to raid the public treasury.

Personally, I don't think it's a good idea to steal my tax dollars so you can raise babies in a factory, then kill them to fix a celebrity's ailments.
