Yes I agree with the gorgeous guy idea too.
I have a wedding in June,July and I think Aug too, about 6 this summer!!! I don't just want to have a nice dress I also want to look in good physical shape so i'm starting to go to the gym now. You probably have a fantastic body but that may be something else to consider.
I would get my hair done a few days before by a hairdresser you trust. That is very important or you may end up with a style you don't like. If you are having an up-do you may even consider having a hairdresser do it for you on the day.
You may want a french manicure or gel false nails done the day before, also if you are wearing open toed shoes perhaps look for a place that does french pedicures cos they look fab. I know it sounds weird but don't cut your nails too short before they do it because they do need about a mm of length for the white bit.
Get your legs waxed the day before that way you avoid any little bloody knicks and if you get them done the day before any red will have faded by the day of the wedding. If you're like me and aren't any good at plucking your own brows get them done professionally the day before - for the same anti-redness reason.
Armpits and bikini line I feel also go in the whole beauty bit but if you're on a budget you can probably manage them yourself.
For the dress I would go to Coast or Karen Millen (as someone mentioned) they have really classy outfits so you will look stunning not tarty. However, some of the '50s style frocks in Coast can look a little like bridesmaid dresses so try to avoid those. Shoes, look in Top Shop, Faith, Office, Schuh and if all else fails then go to Harvey Nic's but you should find something classy for under £50. I think if it's a strappy dress go for strappy sandals and if it's not so strappy maybe some of those peek toe shoes. I think that's what they're called. Don't go for any sort of platform, it just makes me think of porn and lapdancers (not that that's a bad thing just not so appropriate for weddings or church).
Aah, make-up, you want that to look good so places like Mac, Benefit etc usually do free make-up trials where they do make-up appropriate for what you want and then its upto you what you choose to buy. I would go there and get them to do that maybe a week before the wedding, ask them how they are applying all the make up as they go along. At the end choose 3 or 4 key make up pieces and then buy the rest from boots. The important things I think are foundation, eye make up and blusher, but that's just me.
Sorry I've rambled alot, that's just my oppinion so take what you want and discard the rest.
But remember sweetie, May is 4 months away and you may have found someone else by then who is much better than your ex. You will do just fine. Don't worry.
If you need anything else (if I have been useful!!!) please email me.
Good luck!

Try a Karen Millen dress - always classy and tailored to fit in all the right places. You neednt pay a fortune - check on ebay for a second hand or cheap new one.
Get your hair done and nails manicured - you will feel like a million bucks!
Go into a Beaties or main city centre department store where they have large make up counters. They usually have consultants available to tell you exactly what shades of lipstick, eye make-up etc will really compliment your skin tone. Some even offer a free service where they will apply it for you to so you can see how the full effect looks. They can be pricey, but you neednt feel obliged to buy the items there - just remember which sorts of colours suit you most and then pop off to your nearest Boots to get the budget version.
You will knock his socks off!
By this time you might not really care what he thinks anyway - but you will look stunning on all the wedding photos!

Whatever you choose now, you'll hate by May. Fashions will have changed a little, your tastes might adjust accordingly and by May the clothes in the shops will be different to those available now.
And in four months time (cos time is a great healer) you may not even care that your ex will be there. He might no longer be so important and hopefully you'll be well and truly over him and therefore not care if you impress him or not.
So just sit tight before planning your outfit and in the meantime have some serious fun and wash that man right outta your hair!!!!

I agree with the above....get yourself a HOT guy to go with you (even if he's just a friend....your Ex needn't know that!)
Go into town and find a HOT outfit (you can see if you can find the afore mentioned HOT guy at the same time here....two birds with one stone and all that!)
Depending on your budget if you can afford it, go for something designer as it will be tailored to fit you properly. Heels should be a must...uber sexy and they make you feel a million dollars (so long as you've broken them in first....otherwise they make you feel like someone has hacked off your feet ;-)
Pamper yourself beforehand... manicure, pedicure...sexy red nail varnish...Chanel oozes class and sophistication...and have a knock 'em dead hair do courtesy of your hairdresser. You'll feel super confident knowing that you look stunning!
However....do NOT outdo the Bride! (or any of the Bridal party come to think of it!)
Enjoy the day...don't think about dressing to impress your Ex...do it for yourself....you deserve it!
Good luck!

Make sure whatever you buy you try it all on beforehand and are really happy with the effect!. Like the other poster said- have your nails and hair done and really feel a million dollars!! You may have moved on and met someone else but there is nothing wrong in boosting your own confidence and feeling great when you get there!! Enjoy!

a classic suit - jacket and trousers tailored...cream or light colour....gentle on the makeup and get your hair done the morning of the wedding. Seen maid in Manhattan at all? The outfit JayLo wears would be perfect! Classy, stylish and elegant.

I might desire to believe you, selection 3 is definitely noticeably and not a consumer-friendly gown, everybody wears white. My husband is a expert photographer so I see fairly some clothing. in case you have chose to work out a number of his artwork I extra his internet internet site to the source on the backside.

I presume you want to dress for your ex but why. The wedding is in May you could have met 10 men by then. Please don't dress to impress him. Dress for yourself so that you feel good and confident in yourself
