Some of the families of those who were killed do have a problem with it, it was decided upon by a small group of people who wanted their way about it and gave no or little thought to the families or their input. It's a bad idea, they should of just allowed the families to each have their own individual memorial not some stupid government tower freedom tower.

I am not too thrilled with this "Freedom Tower".

I really thought the two bright lights shooting up into the dark sky (lights set into the footprints of the twin towers)

They were simple, yet powerful. I think the victims who perished are in the light and it is so symbolic that the lights just stretch on and on into space. Beautiful!

the freedom tower is more of a symbol, its good they r making a memorial, but the hieght of the tower could be dangerous. i dont think they need something that big to remember all the people who were killed that day. i have been to ground zero and even though there was no monument it still touched me and made me reflect. i hope the freedom tower doesnt change that for the people who visit it.if no one forgets why the tower is there then i will be ok with it being built

I would much rather have seen the towers rebuilt just to show them sons of *****es that nothing will destroy OUR way of life. But since that isn't the case, the Freedom Tower is a good idea.

I can't remember the exact figures, but I think Congress allocated $200 million-plus dollars for the 9/11 memorial, which I consider a crime almost as bad as 9/11 itself. What an incredible waste of money! Its outrageous!

Yes THINK how many people are going to get jobs out of it! Its a really bad thing that everyone died on 9-11 but its kinda like a giant memorial for them to show that no matter what happens to america we will stay strong. I hope this helps.
