I have suffered the consequences of the cup being half full my whole life and have suffered many a heated argument because of my optimistic ability to see the 'bigger picture' and not get trapped by limited negativity! I am a terminally optimistic person and never run out of solutions for any problem that allows all persons involved to win.
People love to take advantage of those that have an optimistic view of life and poison it with their brand of negativity. After all the world is flat isn't it?
Everyone that sees the cup half empty has the duty to look out for those 'simple minded' ones that believe anything and trust before they suspect bad or wrong out of a person or situation, and they try and 'inform and warn' these poor souls that are just misguided, don't they?
My whole life I have encountered some of the best reasons to 'drain the cup' until it's half empty, like: he's gonna leave you and what will you do then? (20 productive years later and he's still here!) you will never succeed at that! (4 clients and counting!) and so many others that if I didn't have my optimism I'd be pretty much where they are....shaking their heads and asking "how does she do it!!!!?"

Always half full.
I am a very optimistic person even in the worse situations. ( for some reason this gets on certain peoples nerves)
Why are you always smiling! Don't you ever see the bad side?
Negative, gloom and doom people get on my nerves too so. Live and let live.

Depends on which way you're going. If you're filling it up....then it's half full. If you're draining it...then it's half empty.
