No, working retail can be extremely nerve-racking. People yelling at you for no reason because they read a sign wrong. I would work retail before I would a fast food place though. Working anywhere with the public can be annoying, but just think of the discount you'll get on your clothes. a job is what you make it though. If you go in saying it's going to be hard, then it will. Good luck with whatever you decide. Just remember to exercise patience! :)

I work at American Eagle... I'm 14 so the pay is fine for me. I don't know if it differs state to state though. I get about 7.15 an hour which is fine with me. I work 5 days a week. (Weekdays.) But I also get really good discounts and that rocks because I love their clothes.

depends on what easy is..

good: merchandising experience, social setting, fashion trends, discounts, clean environment , no stress( unless you have a real pain for a boss)

poor: money, monotomy, hours, boring, having to refold other people mess, no stress ( or challenge), days tend to be long

But this is the way I look at it ..some of my friend love retail.

my friend works at american eagle ....she's 19 and she only gets paid 5.15 and hour. well, how much you get paid depends on the state you live in....

but you get discounts on clothes and that's awesome

well being any kind of retail salespersopn is easy compared to being an aerospace engineer (rocket scientist!). i guess it depends on your definition of "easy."
