Having pregnancies close together is supposed to increase the chance that you'll have PTL since your body doesn't get much time to heal.

Talk to your caregiver for more information on your specific case.

Poor you...ask a question and get a bucket load of grief for the effort...dont know why people bother to answer if they are just going to hurl abuse!! Anyway hunni. I had sex two weeks after having my kids (didnt get pregnant though) but so many couples do and I agree with what someone else said...the six week rule is for you not for the baby so the person who said your baby will be deformed needs to be quiet (how unpleasent and rude) Anyway hopefully you will carry until the end...and then labour should be a tad easier because you r body didnt have very long to recover from the 1st pregnancy so I dont think you will feel the strain quite so much this time around. There was a 14 month gap between mine and my second labour was a breeze compared to the 1st...way much quicker too. Whenever you go into labour....GOODLUCK to you xx

It doesn't matter when you conceived the baby will come when it is ready regardless you may feel you might go soon or maybe you will go over i am pregnant for the second time I am 39+5 and i had my last baby at 37 wks my pregnancy now is sooo different she hasn't even dropped yet when i was about 37wks i thought i would go early cause i was feeling like you really heavy a burning and pressure feeling in the groin which sometimes made me feel like i couldn't even walk and my braxton hicks were more intense and i was having more of them a day.
She is still staying in there so I wouldn't count on going early like i said she will come when she wants to i know how it feels to want it to be over but i have learned just try and relax for the remainder time cause you'll need it.....

Congrats and good luck with everything....

i'm sure that everything will be fine. have u mentioned all of this to your midwife ? i'm sure they would let u know if there was any concern. anyway, babies born after 38 weeks are considered to be 'full term', so u really have nothing to worry about. the main thing that u need to do is give your body a rest after the birth !!! during the past year and a half, u have been pregnant for all of it except for 2 weeks !!! take precautions, don't put your body through another pregnancy so soon after childbirth again !!! also, u may need to do some pelvic floor exercises after the birth to build up the muscle tone again.

If you are already 37 weeks you don't really need to worry. At 37 weeks you are considered full term. I got pregnant very quickly for my youngest and I delivered at just shy of 7 mths (my son is fine now), so there is only 8.5 months between my boys. Good luck and I am glad that you made it as far as you did!

I don't think it makes any difference but worrying about it won't help. I would chat to your midwife about it. If you went full term with your first there's no reason why you shouldn't go full term with this one but you really should relax about it.

Your womb will probably be a little weaker but as long as you take a little more care of yourself you should be fine - your midwife shoud be helping you with all of this. If she isn't request another midwife.

Also my friend had her baby at 36 weeks and she is a lovely bright 5 year old girl - so don't worry too much take care...

If you are having contractions at 37 weeks, go take a HOT shower. Let the water hit your chest.
My doctor always said that brought on labor.

Next time, wait the 6 weeks after pregnancy to have sex again, and USE PROTECTION!

if u want to go into labour have lots of sex. wen u orgasm it sends a hormone oxytocin round ur body 2 trigger contractions also wen the man ejaculates inside u it will trigger off. it worked for me then ended up in labour at 35weeks. i was in slow labour for 6days an had sex (obviously b4 my waters broke) and had the baby the same day
