He's a great player. I hate to see him go his whole career on a perennial losing team.

Danny Ainge has two ways he can go with this - he can trade some of his young talent (Green, Jefferson, Allen) to give Pierce some help and make them a possible contender. I don't think he will go this way, given his love of long shots and rebuilding - the other option is to trade Paul for young talent and drafts - I think this will happen, which would be good for Pierce, since he would be a great final piece of the puzzle for teams looking to get over the hump, like Houston or Utah maybe, but would leave the Celtics AT LEAST 5 years from being decent.

So, I think within two years, Paul Pierce will be playing on a 4 or 5 seed team in the playoffs.

The Celtics do not need to trade anybody to become a legit contender. If you have been watching the celtics last 10 or so games without Paul Pierce as well as a a five game win streak with Paul Pierce, you would have noticed a core of young stars proving that this celtics team will soon become a contender. Tony Allen is averaging about 20 points in his last 7 games, Al Jefferson averging a double-double (about 17 and 10), and Gerald Green about 15pts per game since the injury of Paul Pierce. Honestly, if their were to be a trade, I would say trade Sebastian Telfair and Michael Olowokandi for a more veteran point guard. Even that they do not need at the moment. On the west coast road trip this team has never been blown out, and were in every game with the exception of the Clippers. Recently, the loose to Clevland (A Top East Contender) by three. Mind you they were only playing rookies; While Clevland has All Stars and Veterans on their team. When Paul Pierce comes back from injury, the Celtics will be a problem, They will win the Division, and will cause problems in the playoffs.

My Projected Lineup: PG: Sebastian Telfair SG: Tony Allen SF: Paul Piece PF: Ryan Gomes C: Al Jefferson

Gerald Green and Wally coming of the bench for Tony Allen, Paul Pierce, or Sebastian Telfair

This Lineup led the Celtics to their 5 game win streak before Paul Pierce, expect more of these

I think he will be traded by the trading deadline. Possible to the Clippers, Cavs or Orlando. Those teams have decent players they can trade and could use Paul as the final piece of the puzzle. Look for this to happen before the All-star break.

human beings imagine he faked getting injured to win hostile to the Lakers in very last years Finals. the workers pull him off the game in a wheel chair and then he comes lower back into the game and hits a good number of images for the Celtics to win.

I hope he requests a trade, he's too good a player to be stuck with the celtics.
