where are you located at?

im not sure if the Filipino stores are selling them since roaming service should be processed in the philippines.. only cell cards are normally sold abroad..

but if you know someone from the philippines that can send you the sim, i guess its a better option.. have them activate the sim for you.. for Globe provider, i believe maximum allowed is 6month, although you can send it back to the Philippines to have it activated again..

Smart has a roaming service to most of the world (ROAM ON/OFF) but it works only with texting. Once you are overseas, you can have one of your friends in Philippines reload for you.

When in Europe I bought a T-mobile sim. It roamed to philipines through Germany, China and even Philippines.

In Taiwan there's a large Filipino population Maybe in one of their stores they can get you a sim card. Errr - am I understanding you correctly? Just because you got a Philippine cell phone does not mean that you have to have a Philippine SIM card.
