I hiked today in a large park in Los Angeles. The trail was strewn with beer bottles, a broken trash can, a discarded cooler, an empty anti-freeze bottle and various other trash.

Should people that litter be given public executions?

Well, I wouldn't go that far, but a little community service where they have to pick up the trash in the park seems appropriate. They win the Darwin Award. Unfortunately they are everywhere. In Missouri, there is thousands of acres of forest and along the road is loads of trash.
Why don't you start a volunteer group and pick up the trash. I know it doesn't solve the problem with the thugs who throw the trash out, but at least you can visit your favorite park without the trash and have a little pride knowing that its clean because you made sure of it.

People litter because most have no knollage of what they are doing to hurt the atnosphere and our world. They are ignerant to the danger they are imposing on themselvs. They allso believe that someone else is going to pick it up for them.
