Is anyone else a proud pet owner and pregnant? If so, how are your pets reacting?

My big dog listening to the baby (presses his ear in my belly). I think he can smell it too, or he's trying to smell my spine through my stomach.

Just wondering if anyone else is having funny pet reactions.

Im Pregnant with my second child,
During the first pregnancy with my son, our little shih tzu became very clingy, and even more loveable then usual, this time around I think she knows whats going on, and Im in my last month of my pregnancy, and she has really became a suck, always under my feet or beside me on the couch.

One thing I did, when coming home with our new baby, that I would like to suggest, is I got my husband to bring in our son, and I dedicated a few minutes to JUST her (our shih tzu) so that way she got her time with me before we tryed to introduce our new family member, with me having been away for a couple days she missed me and wanted loving, and I didnt want to deny her of that and try to introduce our son.

Good Luck, Congrats & Have Fun!

I am having funning pet reactions. I'm 14 weeks pregnant and my cat has seemed to notice from the start. She is constantly laying on my belly whereas she did not before. Also she use to go in heat every month like clock work, but since being pregnant she hasn't. I thought my pet was the only acting to pregnancy.

My parents' dog, who is almost 12, is much more gentle around me and sniffs my belly all the time...he always has done this but even more so now that I'm bigger.
My dog is a nine month old puppy and has been with us ever since I got pregnant. I doubt she has any clue because me being pregnant is all she knows and she seems to think my belly is her private pillow...she's going to miss that once the baby is born!

I'm 36 wks and in the last week or two my cat has become very loving ( which he wasnt at all before). He wants to be near me constantly. He usually just wants to be left alone. He's too cute now! I just wonder if he can sense that it's getting close to time and there are going to be some changes.

Once I had my child my Tonkinese(Siamese/Burmese) cat hated the baby. She's four now( the skin kid) and my cat still hates her. It's a possession issue with him. He got all of the attention and now he only gets some. He never did anything while I was carrying though. I did have a weird dream about giving birth to him while I was pregnant.

I have a cat and he use to lay on my belly until my doctor said not to let him do that because his heart beat is way faster than the babies and it can make the babies heartbeat go faster and possibly kill it.
But he lounges around with me, follows me everywhere etc.

When I go to my parents house my dog that I left with them wont leave me alone. He will sit on my lap, follow me around (even into the toilet) I think animals have a sense for these kinda things.

I have 2 cats and if I lie down for a nap they'll usually nap with me. And constantly want to be around me. Not something they did before I was pregnant. It's sweet though. I love it.

And, yes, he did smell me, alot.

He was a great support.
He got upset when the baby cried.
He slept right beside the crib.

the wonderful keep may well be Petsmart as they only sell an identical intercourse small animal in that keep. there continues to be a raffle, yet slimmer then say Petco. Petco is commonplace to accidently put in a male with the girls. additionally, you incredibly might desire to get 2 rats as they might desire to be in pairs :)
