Okay, so I want to transfer my entire iTunes library to another computer. I've heard that you should install iTunes on the new computer first and then burn all the songs to a CD and put them on the new computer. Is that right? Also, I've looked up installing iTunes on my computer, and apple.com only has iTunes version 7. Is there any way that I can keep the version of iTunes that I have now and still transfer my library to the new computer, which would mean I don't install iTunes on the computer first? Would it still work? Or is it possible to download an older version of iTunes? It's not the end of the world if I can't keep my version of iTunes, but I was just wondering...and would like to know if I'm right on how to transfer the music over.

I'm not sure about keeping your old version of ITunes.... The new version is pretty much the same as the old version so I don't think it would make that much difference which version you have. It would probably be easiest to download the newest version from ITunes onto the new computer and then either burn all of your songs onto cds or save them to a memory stick and then load them all onto your new computer. There is a way to actually just plug your IPod into the new computer and transfer the songs in, but I tried it and messed up my IPod pretty badly, so I wouldn't recommend it. Good luck!
