Is there a bottom to the sky?

Well, it's like this, really....Cold does not really exist in the strictest sense, but what we think of as cold is actually the absense of heat. Likewise, darkness does not really exist, since it is really the absense of light. And so now we get to the sky, which really doesn't exist, but, like the others, it seems to exist. So to answer your question, the "top" of the sky is the so called zenith, which is directly above you, and therefore the "bottom" of the sky is the opposite of this, which is often referrred to as the "nadir", but in the case of the sky, you can't really see it because there is some 8,000 miles of rock and metal in your way at all times. If you try to fly to the other side of the earth to observe the nadir, you only keep seeing the zenith, which continuously seems to follow you wherever you go, kind of like trying to get to the end of the rainbow.......Which brings me to another question: some holidays like Christmas and New Years can fall on any day of the week, but Thanksgiving is ALWAYS on a thursday, and Easter is ALWAYS on a sunday!?!? If you figure out why that is please let me know.
