GIve me a good website where it explains all this or try to explain it in your own words, and how many parent graphs are there? Properties too!

Based on my web research, this is a rather new concept (i.e. a 1999 text denied they existed other than as a jargon term) which is now tested for at the state level here in Texas and elsewhere.
The 1st source link gives a good description.
A group of parent graphs are shown in the second reference.
A graph is considered a parent graph if it is the simplist form and by adding constants to it an infinite number of off set graphs can be produced. For example, the first graph in the 2nd source link is y = x^2 variations on this formula such as y=(x^2)+2, y=(x+2)^2, and so on simply move the graph to the left or right and up or down without changing its shape. When I was growing up, the process was less visual and I believe we were told they were related or shifted equations.
