Please help, thank you!

you can't get TSS from a pad. its only tampons and even then it is really rare. you get it by doing things like not removing your last tampon and then putting another one in. or forgetting about it and leaving it in for like 24 hours. the amount of hours the pad is supposed to last depends on the type, how heavy your flow is etc. just change it when it starts getting uncomfy or just change it after a couple of hours. also, try using tampons, they are so much better.

Sweetie,TSS isnt extremely common, but it isnt impossible. However, you have a bigger chance of contracting it from a tampon than a pad,but i wont say that is impossible either.I would suggest three hours, maybe four if it isnt too heavy. It depends on your flow tho.Even if you could go four i would suggest you change it every two or three,as it can cause a little odor, and its simply more hygienic.I guess its a matter of preference, and depending on the person and how heavy your cycle is.Pads are never comfortable, but it also depends on preference.Good luck hun,and have a good evening.

You should change your pad every 4-6 hours. I personally try to change it between 3-4 hours. Sometimes having on the "dirty" pad can cause infections and can smell. The pads with wings can be helpful if you have a heavy period. I don't like them. It's really your preference. Over the years I have tried different sizes and brands. I suggest you do the same thing.

I think TSS is caused by tampons, not pads. Only you can know how often to change, it depends of the amount of "flow" that you are having. First days, often, then towards the end of cycle, much less often. Pads are not really comfortable, but until you are old enough (when you can) to use tampons, you just have to tough it out.

Well I have never heard of TSS from a pad. However the longest a pad should be on is 4 hrs.! Pads aren't very comfortable. However you can get a yeast infection from keeping on a pad too long.

Every 2 to 3 hours depends on how heavy your flow is. When your flow becomes lighter change to panty liners.
As for TSS you can get that from tampons.

It depends on how heavy your period is. personally i think it's more hygenic using a tampon, but that's my opinion. Also you can't get TSS off using a pad.x
