I have a ton of vhs tapes that I want to transfer to DVD and have been looking to purchase a VCR/DVD Recorder Combo unit.

Could someone please recommend a good recorder that comes with strong recommendations and is easy to use.

Thank you

Toshiba, Pioneer and JVCs are the top brands. You can also check out the Panasonic or LiteOn. There's one last thing you need to be aware of the vhs/dvr combo is that the player won't make a copy of protected vhs tapes. Depends on the player you purchase, there maybe an easy way that allow you to copy protected vhs tapes. Check out this site here http://www.videohelp.com

You can pretty much count on quality from all major names.

Toshiba, sony, Pioneer etc..

The function is all the same. Stay away from the no name brands.

You should be good to go.

Cheers!

Look closely at the back of your DVD/VHS unit - sometimes the DVD has it own output separate from the VHS. The s-video connector may only be for the DVD - the connectors will be labeled.
