I am getting married in September. My finance and I have been together for 5 years, I love him more than words could ever explain- he is everything to me and we are very very close, but no there's not a ton of passion. You just have to decide what you really want. It's not going to be like you see on tv.

A friend of mine has been dating a guy for almost a year, and she has said, the entire time, that there really isn't any passion, and that she thinks it's okay, because when we're all older, friendship is what's really important in a relationship/marriage. Personally, I think she's trying to convince everyone, including herself, that it's okay to have a relationship without passion. My opinion is that, especially so early in her relationship, if it's lacking passion, it really is more of a friendship, not a romantic relationship, and you need to decide what you really want.

That's a good question. I think a lot of people are in that situation.
Different people work it out in different ways. Some look to their friends, hobbies , jobs to find that other thing they feel they are missing. Other's have affairs and other's search for the relationship that encompasses it all. I don't know if anyone finds it.

No. When the passion goes, it's gone. You may still feel the kind of love one has for a friend.

Relationships can some effort. They get stagnent. Spice it up a little. Go on a tropical vacation. Or just pretend your having one.

You can love someone without being IN love with him/her. People change.
