Considering how many characters there ARE in the Arthurian legends, then sure. Anytime someone gets into a romantic triangle, there's similarity to the Arthur/Guinivere/Lancelot story. Anytime someone takes up some kind of quest, he's like Gawain of the Sir Gawain stories, or the knights questing for the Holy Grail. Any time a big brother gets more love and attention than a little brother (esp. if said little brother is a half brother or foundling) that's a lot like young Arthur ("Wart") and Sir Kay. If a son's brilliance puts his father's brilliance to shame, that's a lot like the way Galahad one-upped Lancelot. If a woman is pining away for love of a man who doesn't know she exists, that's like Elaine, the Lady of Shallott... and this isn't for homework, is it? (shutting up)

The modern American presidency seems to want to appear as guiltless as the legend of Arthur, but thankfully, our president has his faults just like Arthur did. If you doubt this, read the story of "Gawain and the Green Knight." That will tell you a lot.
