If you're willing to go overseas and want some adventure, look into a company called KBR. They're a civilian contractor that does all kinds of work contracted out by the military in places like Iraq and Afghanistan. They have all kinds of jobs, pay good money, and your wages are tax free.

Work underwater construction in the Gulf of Mexico - I imagine phone books in the big cities like Tampa and Miami would list companies. Work for oil companies with oil platforms in the Gulf or which have units in the Middle East. 'Course with big money comes risk.

Work offshore as a merchant marine, or go to school and become a deep sea diver/welder. There's also air traffic controller, even a dental hygenist has to have only 2 years of school and they make great money
