Is it possible to love both sexes equally?

This may come as a shock... then again, may be not. I think humanity, just like in most of the animal kingdom IS bisexual... it's just that we are geared / led and/or focused toward our main sexual orientation.

I think whether we admit it or not, we all have secretly found someone of the same sex attractive...

I also tend to think those who talk the loudest against homosexuality & bisexuality are those who have had deep sexual attractions toward same sex...... but feel guilt & shame, for what ever reason. Just look at all the gay priests...

It seems the more we repress our natural feelings, the more violent we rebel against them...

Just some random thoughts...

Yes, of course! What is up with all these people saying or thinking that bisexuals somehow don't exist?

Bisexuality is DEFINITELY a true, valid sexual orientation. That said, we are also a very maligned group of people, with so many stereotypes, misperceptions, myths, and outright hatred against us! I just wish I could tell everyone that we are NOT:

1) Greedy.
2) Confused.
3) In a 'phase'.
4) Indecisive.
5) Horny or sex-addicted or nympomaniacal.
6) People who want to have their cake and eat it, too.
7) Necessarily polyamorous or in open relationships.
8) Commitment-phobic or unfaithful.
9) Really gay or straight and in denial.
10) Really gay or straight but getting perks/avoiding condemnation by being bisexual.
11) Necessarily into group sex.
12) Necessarily equally split in their love of each sex.
13) Necessarily experienced with both sexes in order to call ourselves 'bisexual'.
14) The spreaders of disease from the gay community to straight.
15) When it all boils down to it, any different from you or I.

And no, not everyone is 'a little bit bisexual'. I believe strongly that there are people out there who are 100% straight or gay, and never dally along the lines in between. However, a good deal of us are somewhere in the middle, even if we don't acknowledge it with the label of 'bisexual'.

It is definitely possible to love both sexes equally, but that's not what bisexuality is; bisexuality is just the loving of both sexes, in whatever ratio it comes- 99% to 1%, 25% to 75%, 60-40, and yes, even 50-50. Most bisexual people, though, express having a preference for one over the other.

Hope that helps. Let's fight biphobia and bi-invisibility together!

It's possible for some people to be attracted to people of both sexes, yes. It doesn't have to be equal, although it could be - a lot have a preference for one sex, but still have sexual feelings for the other.

It also doesn't mean that they can't commit to one PERSON, because commitment is about much more than sexual attraction.

It may seem strange to those of us who are predominantly attracted to only one sex, but it is a valid orientation, and nothing to do with being confused (although some people identify as 'bi' while they are figuring out their orientation, or in the early stages of coming out).

bi sexual would imply an equal sexual attraction to both sexes.. I dont know what love has to do with that.. i'm equally sexually attracted to both sexes, however... I'm emotionally attracted to only one... so that would just make me gay.

The field of human sexuality is like a football field. You have a very small handfull of people truly at one goal or the other. The vast majority of us fall somewhere in between.

I believe there is no way to force one's heart to love or not to love someone. A person loves and is attracted to whomever it is, and we have no control over it. I also believe the fear and stigma attached to this, causes many to have lonely lives, and causes suicide in some

Equally?

Well, I like women more than men. But I seem to sleep with a lot more men than women.

I suppose it is possible that you like both equally, but does it really matter?

Equally? Very rare to find since there isn't a official scale to rate it on.

I'm bi.
Buuuuuuuuuuuuut.
I like guys way more than i like chicks.
So yeah. I guess i'd be more gay than straight.
