The prices at the cheesecake factory are too high for the crap they are serving you. Try like $28.00 for a lousy steak and $7-$10 dollars for a cheesecake. Plus their menu is the only I can think of that has a bunch of advertisements in it.
Not to mention you will be seated like sardines and probably get lousy service. Oh did I mention they have an inadequate waiting area? Often the waits are 2 hours on the weekends and they expect you to stand as they don't have enough seats in the waiting area.
Do yourself a favor and NOT eat at a place that is publicly traded on the NYSE. All they care about is to make maximum profits and could careless about you, the customer.
Not sure where you live -- but go spend a bit more $$$ for a good independent 3 or 4 star restaurant -- or try to find a good local restaurant by word of mouth (places like this: http://www.geocities.com/bahookarestaurant/)

The Cheesecake Factory is a nice restaurant for prom night. You should expect to pay about $100 for two full meals with dessert. Your date will really like this night...and will make it special for both of you. Remember to take lots of photos and have a great time.

About the same as most chain places. . .Like the same as the Outback or something, maybe a little more. A good meal for two people would be like $50, depending how much you eat, and if you get dessert or drink any alcohol, etc. I do, however, think the cheesecake is overpriced. It's about $8 for a slice, and yes it is delicious. However, near my house, there is a local non-chain small bakery, which makes cheesecake just as good, and the entire thing only costs about $12. So really, someone is over charging!

On the high side of average (a little more than outback). For me and the hubby to go and get strawberry lemonades (awesome by the way, but $4, so thank goodness they started doing refills on those) an entree (portions are huge, and we always have leftovers for the next day) and a piece of cheesecake each (also quite large) it runs about 50-60 bucks before the tip, depending on the entrees. But it is so worth it. I have never tried anything that I didnt like there.

Their entrees are pretty typical, about $10-12, but the portions are pretty big.
The cheesecake is around $5-6 for a piece. Again, it's pretty rich, so you probably can't eat the whole piece at once.

Here is their website menu. They don't put prices on I guess because some areas of the country are more expensive than others. It is more expensive than Outback and Fridays.

To tell you, I don't know how much money it is for cheesecake, but all I know how good it is. I love cheesecake. For my b'day maybe I might have cheesecake as my birthday cake.
