THe movie came out in fall of 86 or Spring of 87. It is about flying fighter jets for the military. Tom Cruse playes the part of a charater named Maveric. Another was naned Goose, He died in the movie when his plain went into a flat spin and crashed. Another charater was called Iceman.

I know that this probably seems like a really dumb question but it is one of the best movies I have seen and was trying to tell a friend about it several days ago and just couldn't remember the name .
