how stainless steel soap remove odor?

I would like to understand the chemical behind it. All answers that I found online and being replied did not explain HOW IT WORKS?!

That little "stainless steel soap bar" simply neutralizes odor as it has none of its own. Lemon juice or rubbing your hands on any steel item even the kitchen sink will do the same thing.
