no. so far no life has been found on mars, nor any proof that there is any life anywhere on mars, nor proof that there ever has been life on mars. In fact most people are quite certain that there is nothing even close to life Mars, and that there has never been such thing. The closest we expect to get to finding life on Mars is the possibility that there is a lipid type of macromolecule which has some lifelike characteristics. This is only theoretical, based on what the conditions on Mars, and other planets as well, are like.

There is some forensic evidence that life may or may have existed on Mars. A meteorite was discovered that is believed to be of martian origion that contained bacteria and also the recent discovery that there may currently be water in liquid form on the surface of Mars seems to indicate that small pockets of life may exist in places on Mars, assuming this evidence is not explained otherwise.

A previous answer mentioned that any microbal life found on Mars would have origionated on Earth and been 'blown' there by Solar Winds. The term 'Solar Wind' is metaphorical and refers to high energy particles ejected from the sun. This would be more likely to kill life than anything and would not 'blow' it anywhere. Not to mention, even if life on Mars origionated from Earth, it would qualify as life on Mars.

According to NASA scientists life "may" exist today on Mars.

(from 2/16/05)
The scientists, Carol Stoker and Larry Lemke of NASA’s Ames Research Center in Silicon Valley, told the group that they have submitted their findings to the journal Nature for publication in May, and their paper currently is being peer reviewed.

What Stoker and Lemke have found, according to several attendees of the private meeting, is not direct proof of life on Mars, but methane signatures and other signs of possible biological activity remarkably similar to those recently discovered in caves here on Earth.

There is some evidence for some sort of life having left traces in asteroids that had been ejected from Mars and later crashed onto Earth, but its not very convincing yet.

2) The Martian soil was tested and found to be D-E-D dead.

He was wrong. If there is life on Mars, it has not been positively and conclusively found yet.
