i would like to get into a good university for undergraduate and grad studies in life sciences particularly just wanted to know things they look for, on the same note which university do you think is the best in terms if their science( life sciences) program

I'm not sure which is best for life sciences, because I'm interested in English and foreign languages, along with philosophy and music. I come from the art and language side of the brain.

Since you want to be in the sciences, definitely excell in those areas as well as math.

Get top notch grades (Ivies usually average at a GPA of 3.8 and up, besides Cornell which is a bit lower at a 3.7), great test scores, volunteer even when it's not required to for graduation, be involved with clubs and hold positions in at least one, win some honors (scholarships, essay contests, poetry, science competitions, whatever you can), and study!!

It's different for every school. You'll have to check out the individual school's requirements and remember- For every person who gets into an ivy-league, there are forty walking around who were just as qualified. Getting in is really a random game at the ivies.

I think that Berkely has a good chacne for you and your like for science.
