I would first wish to be Arabic if I lived in the middle east. Having said that, I would want to live in the weird little country of Yemen. Particularly in North Yemen, in Sana. The pictures I have seen of this ancient city are amazing. I know this region has a lot of poverty, but it is as though time stood still. I would want to be able to work until noon everyday, and then chew Qat for the rest of the day. Read the book Motoring with Mohammad, Journeys to Yemen and the Red Sea, by Eric Hansen. It is an incredible look into the lives of a time forgotten people.

well as i live in Qatar and have visited most of middle east i would say i have the chose i would be travailing between 3 country's Qatar ,Lebanon and UAE (Dubai). Qatar is the safest 1 Lebanon is the most pretty and UAE (Dubai) is the most fun.

I lived in Qatar for 18 months, and visited Bahrain and the UAE. All three countries were OK apart from the heat.
