if there is a less than sign, it becomes greater than.

if theres a greater than sign, it becomes a less than

If you divide an inequality by a negative number, then the sign needs to be switched (i.e. greater than changes to less than).

It changes > to < and < to >.

x > 1
-x < -1

Or if you like numbers:
3 > 1
-3 < -1
