I think about 9/11 every day. I'm sure that most people do, because every single living day in America is another threat from terrorists. I think that Bush made the wrong decision 4 years ago to invade Iraq, because Iraq wasn't the problem or the country Osama bin Laden was in, anyway. I do feel bad for the 9/11 victims, though, but America needs 2 move on. Last year, my history teacher made a comment about Iraq that was semi-harsh. Here's what she said," You guys will never leave Iraq...as long as u guys live in here (in America,) u guys will be stuck in Iraq forever..." Sounds like a recent John Kerry comment, doesn't it? Anyway, I thought it was a bit harsh, but in a way, true to the bone. Plus, my former history teacher was "always right, and got her way, and nobody was gonna to change her mind." What do u think? Was my former history teacher right, or is Iraq screwed forever?

No. Iraq won't be screwed forever - that's going a bit too far in saying that. The reality with Iraq (the reality libs don't want to face) is that this is the kind of war that will take time to fight. Terrorists are all over the world, not just in Iraq, but we are fighting them there so we won't have to fight them on our soil. This isn't a 'go in, kick butt and get out the next day' kind of war (no war was 'go in one day and return home the next'). Terrorists are a breed of evil and fighting against them is something that takes time and patience. If we lose this patience and endurance in this fight, then we've lost the war. If we pull our troops out too early and leave the job half done or incomplete, then those soldiers who sacrificed their lives for our freedom and security as well as for the Iraqi people's freedom and security, then they've died in vain. It's a war that will take time to win, unlike the liberals view that it's a war that can't be won at all. We can win it and I believe we will. We just have to remember that old saying 'good things come to those who wait' - and I strongly believe that!
9/11 will always be remembered as the most horrible attack this country has ever seen and I'm sure it will not be forgotten, though people that are against us fighting terrorists seem to have already forgotten what took place that day. We were attacked by a force of evil and, unless we fight them in Iraq, Afghanistan - wherever, they're giong to attack us again for sure.

'Every single day in America is another threat from terrorists'? Talk about paranoia.
Iraq loses 200 people each week. Based on its size vs. the US, that is equivalent to a 9/11. Try to imagine 9/11 happening every week for years. Imagine what that would do to your psyche. Now think about that sentence of yours. That is exactly why people from the rest of the world consider Americans to be out of touch with reality.
And yes, Iraq is screwed.

Your pain-in-the-butt history teacher (I've had a few of those teachers before...) is right, for once. While I don't think the US will be in Iraq "forever," I do believe that they will be there for the long-term. And I'm glad to see someone so young take things like this with an open mind. We need more people like you in the world. Oh, and Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11. There still isn't any evidence to link it and Saddam to WMDs, al-Qaeda or Osama.

9/11 was a sad day in history for America. But we do need to move "forward", not necessarily "on". The war in Iraq will go on until our troops are given the go ahead to take out anything that moves. I have seen videos from Iraqi snipers just picking off US troops because we cannot engage them until they engage us. This is per the Geneva Convention. Let our soldiers do what they need to do to get out of there and back home to their loved ones.

Of course your teacher is right!! Do you see our troops coming home???????
Just do a search for 9/11 Truth, and you will understand why your teacher is so far ahead of you on 9/11.
Now you know why Bush is so persistent about keeping our military in Iraq and Afghanistan. This was the whole purpose of 9/11, to get a significant military presence in Eurasia for the purpose of stifling any challenge to our supremecy (and of course, to make sure China and other countries don't get access to "our" oil). The propaganda department of the U.S. military is the size of russia, so don't be fooled by their lies that don't...add up

I think YOU need to move on. It's been more than 5 years, most everyone who lost someone is over it, and those who are not, should seek professional help. Also, a lot of people who go to counseling depressed by the terrorist attacks, are not either survivors, or had relatives who died, or were in any other way directly affected by the attacks. They just need a reason to feel sorry for themselves.

go look at our history of occupations of foreign countries. my guess right now is that Iraq is really just a political tool for our government. it's a nice distraction; it constantly generates news that distracts us from other important problems, and it can be used to manipulate the markets and the voters. Yes, we will probably always be there. We are still in Germany, and that war was actually won. Sixty years ago.

It would not assure me, i've got already figured that faith can be fairly hypocritic and produce alot of soreness to this international. i don't elect to declare ALL non secular human beings are like this, i comprehend some who're honestly loving human beings and might do no harm to anybody. It did help assure my notions that maximum human beings react out of worry and 'circulate with the lots'. particularly afterwards, with all of that so stated as patriotism that lasted, what? A month? everybody became all like, "shall we circulate kill us some terrorist!", until now they even knew the the data of why we even went to a warfare. I only desire greater human beings might think of for themselves, and to me, and faith could be a buffer for people who do not try this. it is an identical kinds of worry that reason even non secular human beings to act in violence, greater of a human element than faith i might wager.
