someone called me from overseas and when i tried to call the number back it was called a landline. what does that mean?

a land line is a regular telephone. Not a cell phone.

Landline is a regular hardwired phone to a home or business.

Not a cell phone. It's the phone lines most of have hooked to our homes and what business, etc., uses.

As opposed to a cell phone or a a VOIP connection it is an old fashioned copper wire "Land Line"

a house phone. It isn't a mobile cell that can go with you, an actual home phone can only stay at your home. Hope this helps have a great one!!

Its the little hole in the wall where the main phone lead is plugged in! Its the main sourse for all ure calls!
