Hmm - I Have A PC that keeps going thru POST disconnecting everything it still does the same ie a continual re start any ideas (Novices dont bother)

Most likely the battery for the m/b needs replacement; they're typically good for 5-7 years.
If that doesn't correct the issue; the bios may be corrupt. Some if not all the later bios chips can be flashed, [code re-entered]...

Try doing a CMOS reset. sometimes the data can get corrupted and the computer won't boot up properly. unplug the computer and look for a 3-pin jumper near the battery. move the jumper over to the other side for about 10 seconds, then put it back in the original position and plug it in. If the POST doesn't complete, you may have a faulty CPU or memory.

it must be undesirable RAM in the computing device. in case you have 2 sticks of say 512MB RAM, do away with 1 stick at a time. If not extra noise than it is your subject. Or set up workstation diagnostic application to objective all factors of the workstation which comprise RAM, HD, Sound Card, Video card and so on,.

software problem,memory problem,hard drive problem,other hardware problem could even be a bad cable to one of your drives trial and errot to troubleshoot the first thing i would do is pop the disc in and choose repair and run a chkdsk /r

Bad hard drive, probably. Otherwise, it could be a hardware problem.
