Only ones that should be allowed to talk are the ones who have been in REAL combat.

They sit back and relax while we are over there fighting and then complain? What **** do they got to complain about? I have friends now that can't walk and some that came back in a box. Republican or democrat I don't care if you haven't been in real war then stfu. If you think you can do it better then come and do it your ******* selves. That is how my unit and I feels about politics.

I understand your anger...but didn't you volunteer to go in the military?

I know I did...no one forced me.

I am not trying to sound cold, and everything that you say is true...but you did voluntarily go.

Just because you discovered the immense power of the stroke of a pen long after you suffered the consequences doesn't mean you have the right to distance yourself from those that do. I feel your same resentment, but I choose to voice my opinion where it counts--at the polls. Put the pressure where it belongs--with our leadership.

C'mon with the "she was askin' for it" rape defense cincy. Just like us he volunteered to DEFEND our country. He may not agree with some politicians' definitions of "defend". What the f*#! happened to "mission accomplished"? Didn't we just hang the SOB we went after in the first place? How damn long do these people need to be trained to defend themselves? You can't teach a whole nation patriotism. Either they want it or they don't. We've spent too many good soldiers' lives on "stabilizing" their government. BRING THEM HOME

Don't dare tell me to STFU, sonny.

Active duty military members CANNOT:

Participate in any radio, television, or other program or group discussion as an advocate for or against of a partisan political party, candidate, or cause.

Federal Law (Titles 10, 2, and 18, United States Code), Department of Defense (DOD) Directives, and specific military regulations strictly limit a military active duty person's participation in partisan political activities.

DOD defines "partisan political activity" as "activity supporting or relating to candidates representing, or issues specifically identified with, national or State political parties and associated or ancillary organizations."

A "Nonpartisan political activity is defined as "activity supporting or relating to candidates not representing, or issues not specifically identified with, national or State political parties and associated or ancillary organizations. Issues relating to constitutional amendments, referendums, approval of municipal ordinances, and others of similar character are not considered as specifically being identified with national or State political parties."
