I have created a visual bible. I want to copyright my work. How do you do that? Is anyone in the publishing business that can give me some advice on publishing my bible.

You can do this at the US Copyright Office – see the last 2 links in the source box. The application is fairly simple & the cost is $45 per application.

Despite what others state, a "poor man's" copyright is NOT the same as registering it. Here's what the US Copyright Office has to say:

"The practice of sending a copy of your own work to yourself is sometimes called a 'poor man’s copyright.' There is no provision in the copyright law regarding any such type of protection, and it is not a substitute for registration."

Hope that helps! I wish you much success & happiness in all your ventures!

There should be a book/software you can checkout at your local library. Just look it up in the catalog online/ask a librarian to guide you to the right section.
I found one at my branch so try that if anything else. I also found a how-to-publish book in the same library.

You may want to go to the authorities to get it registered.

mail it to yourself and don't open it is a good rule of thumb, it is called the poor man's copyright but you should visit the official government copyright website at http://www.copyright.gov/
it explains everything in detail.
