.....what does this line mean............"Mind the empty bottle with the holes along the bottom"? Thanks in advance, 'cause it's been bugging me for years (not knowing).

I'm not sure what that specific line means, but I always thought the song was about a girl in a relationship with a man who's too dependent on her.
