I wouldn't have my pets where an eagle could swoop down and grab it.... even if it did happen I wouldnt kill the bird because of it, it has to hunt to survive. Thats just called "nature" the bird shouldnt be killed for doing what it is designed to do. Shooting an eagle for killing its prey would be illogical. Just because you love your companion animal doesnt mean it isnt part of the food chain in nature...
PS I would be upset if any of my 4 cats were killed by an eagle, that is why I keep them inside so that doesnt happen... because I would be devastated over their death, but killing the eagle would just be murder for revenge and that is wrong under any circumstances.

How would you be sure that you could shoot the eagle and not shoot your pet? And if your pet wasn't already dead from the impact of the eagle hitting it, it might die from the fall when the eagle drops it.

if the eagle didnt kill it already, when u shot it the pet would fall and die along with the bird. Shooting the bird wouldnt do any good at all! its not like its going to bring your pet back by killing the bird! i mean sure i would be extremly sad but it would do any good at all!

What kind of eagle are you talking about? The bald eagle is no longer endangered, but I think this is what you are talking about.
If not, I am sorry. But, to answer your question, Yes sir, you bet I would.

Id shoot the S.O.A.B to save my pet Doggie .. If it was a panda bear who say tried to kill your child or friend etc you would not give a **** if it was endangered.. Your child would be the endangered one not the animal, so yes id kill it for sure...
