Best sign is cancer.
But please understand a person's sun sign (cancer, aquarius, leo, and so on) is just one factor (certainly the most important factor) among at least 36 major astrological influences that make up an individual. Examples, moon signs are very important to the emotional makeup; rising sign--the constellation what was on the horizon at the time of birth--is nearly as important as the sun sign. So what does this mean? Just because a person is a cancer, does not automatically guarantee compatibility with capricorns. But it is a good start.

Well, if you're talking about a love match then the best matches would be your fellow earth (capricorn, taurus, virgo) and water signs (scorpio, cancer, pisces) signs. But on a friendship platform, we capricorns are generally wary of the friends that we make as we tend to be fiercely loyal to those whom we consider as friends. Hence, it will be more of a character basis rather than just purely astrological basis.
Personally, I have friends from all the signs and I can say that I get along with most of them as long as there is a mutual trust and understanding between us. Backstabbers from any sign need not apply =p

Heh.... I seem to get along best with OTHER Capricorns, or with Cancers who have Capricorn moons.
Not to say I can't get along with everyone else... I've got a solid list of romantic signs I will never touch again (like Virgo or Taurus)

Im a capricorn and i seem to get along with everybody but if i had to pick a certain group i would pick the summer months like cancers leos and virgos.

I'm a Capricorn and most of my friends are Sags and Cancer. I seem to have the most trouble getting along with Leo.

Capricorns get along with whomever they want...As far as I know, I have friends of every sign....as well as people I loath of every sign. My best buddy at work is an Aquarius....and so is (hopefully) future ex-wife.
