I wanted to buy a house in my early 30's (that was 30 yrs ago) & my father advised me against it.
I'm female & I had back surgery in my late 20's & still experience a lot of pain. My father said I couldn't handle ownership becuz there would be so many things I wouldn't be able to do on my own.
It was the worst advice I ever had and to this day wish I hadn't taken it.

My friend told me that if I collected 50 straws from Macdonalds whenever I bought a happy meal then I could turn them in a collect them for a hat and a free t-shirt. So I did it and I gave them to the cashier guy the next time I went to Macdonalds and he just threw them away.
I was 10 years old.

When my husband told me to go down a steep gully on skis and I knew It was too steep and then a sharp uphill and I did a great face plant and had a swollen bruised face for a few days.

just keep your mouth shut, and take the charges like a man,
to many days in the brig for me, never again
