Here's one I worte after 9-11. Hope you like it.
The Warning Came Too Late
To the victims and heroes of 9/11.
One summer day in New York City,
The sidewalks were jammed, streets were busy,
An ill wind blew, a wind of fate,
But the warning came too late.
A big jet, flown by a crazy guy,
Slammed the tower, people looked and cried,
An ill wind blew, a wind of fate,
But the warning came too late.
A plane was headed for the second tower,
We watched in horror, but it was out of our power,
An ill wind blew, a wind of fate,
But the warning came too late.
An hour later those towers fell,
It was a horrible sight no one can tell,
An ill wind blew, a wind of fate,
But the warnings had come too late.

What now is done,
the life had end,
by a gun,
he lost a friend.
Waited for on glories day,
each night he will lie in ed,
and feel faith was not faraway
Abanded and Scared
Although Jen's left
and now walks above
he won't be alone
cause there's nothin to get rid of
Pain will never be leaving
will go on forever
like a shadow,
it will still be there.
