you have to have a network card for your laptop, When you go to the store to buy it make sure you take what type of router you have. The card comes with a disc, you install the disc on the laptop and then insert the card and walla.....your connected. If you have a new laptop, you may not need the card, you may just need to find the right connection for your router

Make sure you have a wireless router. If you already have a wireless router, make sure that your laptop and desktop share the same wireless connection. Make sure that both computers are connected to the wireless router when you decide to setup your network. Depending of the type of computer desktop ie: Windows or Mac. You can go into the help menu and it will tell you how to setup a wireless network between two or more computer. After setup between the two computers, you should be able to easily transfer files etc. Also, try google search for more indepth help. Good Luck!

I don't know what your situation is, but here's mine. I have Verizon DSL that came with a router, ethernet cable and software that configured my computer the router and whatnot. So your computer needs an ethernet port. I believe the router enables wireless use. Your laptop has to have a wireless card. I had a little problem with my computer not allowing wireless and I'm not sure how we finally fixed it, but it had to do with my IP address. A lot of people just get high speed internet through their cable, the router gets hooked up and there's no problem. So, good luck. Something like that.

if you mean to use the programs then just create a network group, with your wireless, or you can bridge your connection but you may need a card for that.
