It depends, the newer ones from about 2005 on are all 64-bit. If you check on an online store like Newegg, you will be able to determine whether it is or not, but whatever you are looking at most likely is. Now, it's recommended to buy a Core 2 Duo, since they are newer and run faster and more efficiently than the old pentiums.

A standard P4 is not a 64-bit processor. The newer ones do : Intel 64 support. Just goto www.intel.com and look at the cpu specs.

There are 32-bit and 64-bit versions of the P4 processor. You should need to look at the specs of what you are planning on buying.
