I'm afraid it's not part of the Avatar options, but here's what you can do (you'll need to set up a Yahoo 360 page first, if you don't have one):
1) Take a screenshot of your current avatar - head only view - (use the PrintScreen key and paste it into Paint or a similar image editing program)
2) Edit this image, paint the little spots on and when you like the result, save it as a jpg
3) Upload this image into your "Personal Pictures" page, in Yahoo 360
4) Select this image as your Primary image, in that same Y!360 page
5) Now come back to YAnswers, go to your profile, and select Your Yahoo 360 pic as your personal image.

That's an interesting question there, Joni B. To make our avatars look like they're sick should be another option. I'm glad you came up with the idea. Seriously, I can never thank you enough.

Go to edit your avatar and type it in. If they have it, it will show up.
