Well, I am currently renting a one bedroom, excluding bills, meaning i have to pay the bills.
I have only recently moved about 3months ago so I havent received my electricity bill, so I am quite scared of that one.
My water bills is £36.89 per month
My TV License is £32.69
Council Tax is roughly £163
Sky is £24
So it can be quite costly......

Once the rent is paid it all depends on the type of house and how much insulation you have. Try asking the previous tennant.

Once you have carpets, thick curtains, loft insulation and low energy light bulbs, the bills you need to pay are:-
Gas 50 to 100 per month if you are working and use it morning night and all weekend.
Electricity 20 to 60 depends on if you have an electric cooker and washing machine.
Telephone 15 to a fortune depends on how much you use it.
Rates around 100 for band A in our area
Insurance 15 to 30 you may just need contents if its a rented property.
Water rates 5 to 15 per month.
Tv licence about 11 a mon

I put away £300 so there is some extra for emergencies like central heating service and repairs etc.

ps. dont forget food!!!!

Good luck.

My bills each month are about £800 - £900 per month.

This includes the mortgage, council tax, gas & electric, phone & tv, mobile, insurance (car, life & home), car repayments and tv license. The Joys!

I was lucky to have purchased my flat before house prices went too crazy so my mortgage isn't as scary as some.

Look into single person discount for your council tax, I get a 25% reduction.

Shop around for your insurance as well, I managed to half the amount I pay by just calling around a few difference companies.

I hope this is helpful. Good luck!

No idea off hand

About £11 each month for TV licence
If you get Sky that costs about £50 a month for all channels
Mortgage - depends you should get figures for these
Gas - last quarter bill was £60.00
Elec - about £10 a month covers the two of us

We are both at work 5 days a week

Stephanie, what area of the country/world do you live? as you should know, this has a lot to do with your monthly utilities, etc, expenses. Also, the size, age, type of construction of your house as well as the year round climate of your are major contributors to your monthly expenses.

The answer has many variables.
1. Where do you live... cold north or warm south?
2. How large is your house and your house payment?
3. Do you have gas or heat w/elec?

Many other things, no one can answer this accurately.

I agree with most what's been said so far... it really depends on your useage. However if you're a typical user that lives alone the utilites are not that much.

That depends entirely on your life style and area you live.
