If you know where it was purchased, just take it back (does not matter how long it's been in the box). If you do not have a receipt stores will usually give you a credit equal to the merchandise (cost may be down right now, after Christmas specials). Or you could go purchase same brand and type in chrome, keep your receipt and then return the white one for a full refund.
