A homeschooler can make friends as easily as clicking on their computer or stepping outside.

If you live in a very rural area, you can "meet" others on your computer. I'll list a few "kid-safe" sites for you below.

If you live in an area that has few kids your age, why not mingle with adults you know from church, the grocery store, or anywhere there are PEOPLE you know?

Who ever said that "friends" had to be the same age we are? (smile)

Chances are, those adults have grand kids or cousins or other such relatives your age (if that is your objective) so, jump right in there and meet the world!

Now. You have a "trick" question there. You asked HOW can a homeschooler make friends.

Easy.

It doesn't matter if you are a homeschooler or not, the best way to make friends is to BE one yourself. Be honest, attentive, fun, and helpful, and before long, you'll be wondering just WHY you asked this question in the first place! (smile)

People always enjoy interesting folks. Just keep things simple.

Last of all, look at what you have already done here in this forum: You've reached out and VOILA! look at all of the helpful responses you've already gotten. In fact, nestled in these replies just might be the new friends you've been looking for!

Relax and continue doing what you have been. Reach out. Be there. The friendships will come.

Good luck to you!

I'm homescholed and I have plenty of friends. I go to dances and play sports and the mall is also great :) . Being homeschooled doesn't mean you're locked up in your house and a total social outcast. Just be yourself and get into activities that include other teens.

I was home schooled And we had many kids in our town that were home schooled and so there were meetings for the kids to get to know each other and the parents can talk about work. I enjoyed them very much. Hope this helps
