you should be using unpasturized apple cider vinegar for health, before mealtime sip 1/3 tsp acv, hold in mouth for a minue before swallowing this promotes enzymes in the mouth to start the digestive process, causing stomach fluids to flow faster resulting in improved digestion and better health.

another suggestion, distilled water, 1/3 tsp acv, organic unsweetened cranberry juice sweetened with organic grape juice or raw honey added to the vinegar and water,
hope this helps

I found on the web a modified recipe that includes baking soda (needed to neutralize the acidic level of any and all juices that you might choose for taste): The amount of apple cider vinegar (ACV) needed to react with baking soda to get to pH level of near 6.5-7.0 depends on the brand of ACV. The best type should be purchased at a health food store. But in general, you'll need approximately 50-70 ml of vinegar per one tablespoons of baking soda. So always start on the low side first! You can get PH test strips where ever they sell fish or pool supplies.

If you are not used to it, try only 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda - the safest possible mixture assuming 2 tablespoon of vinegar in a 250 mg glass of water. Then increase slowly as needed. For tougher cases of Acid Reflux, you can go up to 2 tablespoons but you must start slowly or you will upset your stomach. Most people will not need this much baking soda.

I can only assume that you want this recipe so that you can continue to drink your favorite juices. But I have seen at the grocery store "low acid" versions of orange juice, for example. It seems that all you are doing here is neutralizing the acid with baking soda (sodium bicarbonate), right? So no matter what the amount of each ingredient is mixed together, as long as the PH is neutral (about 7.0), you should be good.

First you have to figure out what is causing the acid reflux. Usually its the stomach holding on the undigested food that rots and makes it swell up. Or it could be your colon is plugged up and pushing your stomach up into your throat. Or it could be an infection causing the stomach to not work well. Or it could be the valve at the bottom of the stomach is not opening. Each of these conditions require a different approach. Get some answers first. Then come back.
