Intel Core 2 Quadro Extreme Edition QX6700 "LGA775 Kentsfield" 2.66GHz processor (make sure you don't forget to remove the plastic protective cover off the bottom like I did with the meagre Celeron D in my new PC + the fan that comes with 'em are absolutely tw*ts to get on properly without nearly bending the motherboard). Also make sure you're sitting down when you see how much it costs.

Hard drive by either SEAGATE or WESTERN DIGITAL, preferably with SATA / SATA II connectors - and the biggest one you can afford.

TAGAN Power Supply Unit (those are seriously well made - forget about poncy ones that light up)

Crucial 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2 PC2-5300C3 667MHz Ballistix Dual Channel Kit (BL2KIT12864AA663) for memory

Asrock ConroeXFire-eSATA2 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard (this is the one I use - well specc'ed for the money)

ATI Radeon X1950 XT-X ***Crossfire/Master Edition*** SILENT Heatpipe 512MB GDDR4 (PCI-Express) - Retail ATI Radeon X1950 XT-X ***Crossfire/Master Edition*** SILENT Heatpipe 512MB GDDR4 graphics card

Don't forget to check-out the "Custom PCs, case mods, overclocking" forum @ http://forums.pcpitstop.com/index.php?s=df2267026b2e7b077a1de054a5c6d992&showforum=10

Your best bet would be to visit forums on Anandtech and Toms Hardware, because the users are all about hardware and will definitely tell you what and what not to get. Spending more money past a certain point won't get you anymore performance unless your games run at super high resolutions.

If you are buying the parts tomorrow, you'd surely have done some research before now?
You have no idea do you.

Good graphics card. Large amount of RAM, HDD doesn't matter tooo much, but one with a big cache size would help.
