Get one with skip protection so that your disc won't skip and you won't miss part of your book. Also, make sure your audio book is separated by "tracks" so you can go from chapter to chapter more easily. You should probably just get an iPod nano for her. A 2 GB one costs $99 dollars on some websites and it would be easier for her to find her place and she wouldn't have to buy batteries continuously. Good luck!
