It will not be quite as reliable as a Japanese car, no.
What you get in exchange is a much more substantial feeling car with thicker metal and paint, better quality plastics and a more solid overall feel to it. It will likely be safer and have a more composed ride than the cars you are used to and rear-wheel drive offers a more refined driving experience as well as better performance handling at the limits. The BMW direct injection diesels are brilliant. Very responsive motors with spadefulls of torque. I think you'll really enjoy it. If you have an eye for quality and detail and spend a lot of time in your car, it's worthy of serious consideration.

BMW are very good cars but not as reliable as a Japanese. I know, I have owned both. Why not look at a Lexus. Japanese reliability with all the luxury of the BMW. Even on an old Lexus everything will work and the car will feel a lot younger than it is. The only downside is, a set of tyres and exhaust could set you back £2,000 if bought together. But then spares are not needed often.

as far as i'm worried, sure. I even have pushed Mercedes Benz Sedans for years. My First became a 1968 and that i drove it 3 hundred,000 miles. My next became a 1976 and that i drove it 550,000 miles. My next automobile became a BMW in 1984 and yet another in 1993. My next Mercedes became a 2004 and at 70,000 miles I traded it for a 2006 SLK Roadster thereby ending my sedan section. My factor is that for the time of all the years I drove those automobiles for virtually 40 years with ordinary maintenance and positioned on products being the only element I ever did. No engine, transmission, or substantial unit alternative.the quantity of funds i did not spend is in all probability astounding, yet for the reason that I in no way spent it, i think i'll in no way comprehend how lots I saved.

In my humble opinion No. A couple of friends owned 3-series beemers a few years ago both had problems with them, one to the point of a new engine. I drove both cars...from memory one was a 316 the other a 323 neither felt that special, in fact I used to get a "numb bum" in them after quite a short period of time. The seats were firm to the point of hard. Try a used Audi good cars with not such a "look at me" image, the 2.5 diesel is a great engine

BMW always worth the money that you pay for it,because it's reliable and well made car. For example 3-series compact is not very big and economic if you pick 320td. If you want some useful information and photos - check the site.

Yes. I have a 2004 BMW and I love it because it drives well, handles well, has a great warranty, I get a carwash everytime I need an oil change. When I bought it there was no hard sell/pressure to buy it. I got the options I wanted and negotiated a good price.

Er, what you're asking is "should I waste £20 000 on a badge and pug-ugly styling or buy a reasonably-priced, reliable car instead?"
Dunno. Difficult choice.
Brybt made the mistake of buying a Mark I Escort from the Church Mice in Bagpuss, in 1976. Try going to a proper dealer, in future, matey.
And stop listening to those German car ads: they're lying!
