well, perhaps it depends on the skin type of each one of us, which acne treatment will we use. personally, i use Lancaster products and find them far more effective than others.

I have an acne treatment that has won me the best answer better then twenty times. Often, the person who voted it the best answer was amazed at how well it worked, even those who had severe cases of acne. I'll copy and paste it below.

Use a hot compress on it, and then use cool water to close the pores. Do the process over and over again, about five or six times. Use soap to wash the area, and then treat it with an alcohol soaked cotton ball. It should be gone within five to six hours.

Here are some of the previous comments I cut and pasted from those who voted it as the best answer,

best bet for bad acne is to see a dermatologist. I have been on prescription accutane before. It is not permanent. i was acne free for about two years. Now it is coming back larger due to increased stress levels. Iam back to normal acne products by perscription (doryx and duac) to try and not have to go back on accutane. Doctor recommends that as last resort since it is very harsh on the body and skin.

I supplement my perscription stuff with murad acne products like body wash and facial cleansers.

the $250.00 i spent for acne medication prescribed by my dermatologist. differin and duac gel worked wonders for me. I hadn't had clear skin since I was 8 yrs old and now I am 24. It was worth every penny. However, to wash my face with clearisil sensitive facial wash. It does so good on my skin.

i would suggest clearisil ocean sea salt range, if tey have tht in usa but im not sure
it totally works my skin was soft and i had no pores the next day and my pimples cleared up within the week. and if yor worries about over drying ur skin it has special moisterisers in it tht helps to keep it soft.
also pro activ works pretty good it comes with a toner and moisteriser and cleanser. i find the cleanser works good but it drys my skin a bit but i hav pretty dry skin avd sensitive. and the toner i use still when i go to bed and in the morning it helps keep the big pimples away and breakouts .
hoep tht helped thts wat i think are the best two

I know this sounds wierd but toothpaste. Plain toothpaste drys up the acne fast. If your not in the mood to be adventurious and put toothpaste on your face the clearasil advanced acne pads are amazing

I'm 27 years old and nothing has ever really worked for me.
So I went to my dermatologist on got on Accutane. A serious solution. Permanently shrinks your oil glands.

OMG do not use toothpaste. It doesn't really work! it burns your face and if your really sensitive then it makes you break out even more. I would reccomend Pro-active. If you need some help ask your parent to take you to a dermatologist. Or if your an adult then go to a dermatologist. GOOD LUCK!!

You should try using Olive Oil. The oils destroy any bacteria on your face but they doesn't harm the natural feeling of your face. It keeps it smooth and not dry.
