I can't help you with the specifics or provide you with actual legal advice (only very general information) because I'm not in the US but....

You might want to look to your local university and see if the law students put on a free legal clinic/services to people in the community who may be overlooked by mainstream legal services. I know the one in my area helps people who are classed as low-income for free so this may be an option for you. If they can't help usually they have the contact information for lawyer referral services, legal aid and such. Often the students are limited to the level of court that they can approach so they may not be able to help you for the duration of your case.

You could look to see if there is an equivalent to legal aid in your area. As with the students, these people should at very least be able to inform you of your rights and detail the procedures that you need to follow to bring your case forward.

Also the government may have a free legal hotline service set up in your area where you can call in and get a certain amount of time and legal advice for free. This might be a good place to start.

Because you're on disability you could ask the people involved in providing the service if they know of similar cases to your own and how they were dealt with. Also, they might have more contact information to help you.

I should also warn you that it might take you a long while before you reach the right people who can help you (bouncing from phone call to phone call).

Best of luck!

Cheers,

a man or woman died for the time of a rape and the criminals are basically getting a sprint under six years for it? it incredibly is absurd!! there is something poor incorrect with the legal equipment whilst a murderer basically gets sentenced to approximately 3.5 years with good time. That aside, sure! The deputies have been negligent and may well be held responsible for his or her failure to do their job. somebody died because of the fact they have been being lazy or irresponsible.

You won't be able to do this on your own. You absolutely NEED a lawyer; there's no way around it.
